poster idea 1

REFLECTION
Within this initial poster idea I created I added an image of a deer holding a doritoes bag to evoke a reaction from the audience, making them fell guilty for their actions when using single use plastic. There wasn’t much structure within the image however with the page divided in half, there are little to no composition considerations and therefore lacks the ability to connect with the audience.

poster idea 2
Fine line pen sketch
REFLECTION
In poster idea 2, I focusses closer on composition and positioned the shower head travelling down to the page from the title allowing for viewers eyes to travel with the directional line to find the main subject of the image and understand that the woman is bathing in and around plastic. Not only is directional line utilised but inclusive language within the title question created relatability with the audience.
poster idea 3
Fine line pen sketch
REFLECTION
Visual imagery in poster idea 3 is strong, and the idea as well as title was well thought through and effective yet again, similar to idea 1, there is a lack of composition.
final poster version 1
Adobe illustrator drawing combined with fine line pen drawing
REFLECTION
Sourcing the fish image from my initial drawings, I used adobe photoshop to create the rest of the poster. Utilising quite a dull, plain colour palette successfully communicates the tone of the message behind the poster. Compositionally, this image is successful in encouraging viewers eyes to travel down the chain of plastic located in the right section of the poster to travel down to the title which proposes the question "What's your dinner tonight?". This question enforces guilt upon the audience and realisation of their luck and how their actions are effecting the environment,

REFLECTION
Using the same image from poster idea 3 and final poster version 1, I used cut out pieces from a magazine as well as shaped pieces of plastic to represent the fish food and title of the poster. This collage effect created a less harsh image.
